Story of a salesperson

If you give a brief thought, you will be surprised to find that salesperson is the most important person in our life. The irony is, though we need them, we do not value them, though they value us. The fact is that, we stupidly look down upon them and happily pass comments on them after they get tired enough knocking our doors and move on to the next one. Many years ago, I knew an old man who did not sell products or services - he was different from others as he sold music. He played violin and asked for food or money. He slept under the roof of the Triton showers shop, I still remember him.

The kids were very fond of him. Once, I remember, it was a rainy night and all the buyers who came to buy bathroom accessories in the shop where he slept, were stuck by a sudden storm there. He soothed those impatient souls with his music and earned accolades for it.

Many years has passed after that day and now we are living in another semi-urban area. Since I am looking for my personal apartment now, I decided to buy my home accessories like vanity units from that same shop where that man slept. I was much exited to get back to my old place and have its feel. When I landed there the first thing I did was to ask about him. It was unfortunate to know that he died few months ago. I can still feel his presence in my thoughts.
